The Northern lights Ornament (Aurora Borealis)

For many people seeing the magical Northern Lights was a bucket list item that they achieved this year whether on a once in a lifetime holiday or in their own back gardens. 

This decoration came to exist because for as long as I can remember my family and I have been watching the skies and enjoy watching sunsets, sunrises, shooting stars and love to try and photograph them all. This year I have been lucky enough, twice, to see the Aurora Borealis from Switzerland and once from Northern Ireland.

This Northern Lights decoration beautifully illustrates the bright and vibrant colours and shapes of the aurora borealis and will standout on any Christmas tree. With the ability to personalise the back of the wooden ornament it could become a treasured traditional decoration. 

This is great as a gift to yourself to help you remember this year or as gift to someone you know who you know loves the Northern Lights.

The ornament is a reproduction of one of my original digital paintings. The design was then printed onto birch plywood. 

The decoration is presented in two ways, on a backing card or on a greetings card. 

It is attached to the card by a navy satin ribbon and wrapped in eco friendly poly cello to protect them during shipping. 

The decoration is perfect for posting as it is lightweight and flat. This item counts as letter size for posting. 

The Greeting Card is printed on 7 x 5 inch smooth velvet touch quality card and the envelope comes with a postal protection card. The card is blank inside for your own message and the back features the Deer & Sparrow logo and contact details.

Greeting Card Design: Illustration of night sky and silhouetted mountains with the text "Wishing you a Christmas full of Light, Love & Wonder!". The ornament is fixed to the card through a small punch hole and secured with a small piece of tape on the inside. 

Inside: Blank for your own message.

Ornaments ordered without a greeting Card are presented on an A6 card with an illustration of night sky and silhouetted mountains with the words "The Northern Lights Aurora Borealis".

Please note that Birch Plywood is a natural material which means that the colour, grain, and texture of each decoration will be slightly different from those photographed. The wood grain may also be visible adding character to the ornament.
