Swiss Cow Bell - Keepsake & Swiss Souvenir

Anyone who’s ever visited Switzerland or who lives here knows that the cowbell is a traditional souvenir to remind people of their visit to Switzerland. Anyone who’s ever bought a cowbell will know that they make a great noise but will also know that they don’t always want to hear a bell ringing in their house.

This illustrated, ink painted seasonal decoration is a beautiful, yet quiet, reminder of the Swiss cowbell that can be easily shipped due to its size and stored year on year to be used as a Christmas decoration. 

Seeing this decoration on your Christmas tree every year will invoke the memory of what the cowbell sounds like, leaving your imagination to take you on trips back to Switzerland or the Swiss Alp Valleys. 

The cowbell strap features intricate red flowers alongside wheat and Gentiana acaulis. It also has the Swiss flag on a crest and an Edelweiss flower just above the bell. The colouring of the Bell represents the slightly rusted traditional cowbell as opposed to the touristy cowbells found in souvenir shops. 

This is a great card to send to someone who has visited Switzerland as a memory of their trip and something that they will be able to treasure for years to come. 

The decoration comes attached to a Greeting card with cursive text which reads ‘With love from Switzerland.’ The cowbell appears to be hanging on a wooden beam alongside the outlines of other cowbells as would be seen in traditional areas. The wooden barn effect is increased by the hand drawn wood effect planks behind the cowbells and beam. The surround to the card has a stamp style edging against a coloured background increasing those holiday memories.

The cowbell ornament has a red ribbon which can be used to hang the ornament on trees, windows or mantle pieces. The red ribbon is used to attach the decoration to the Card, but when it is removed a print of the cowbell design remains on the card, allowing it to stand beautifully alongside other Christmas cards. 

The decoration is perfect for posting as it is light weight and flat. The design is printed onto birch plywood and threaded with red satin ribbon. This item  counts as letter size for posting.
