Bags of Love - Keepsake ornament

Created from a place of deep love, as someone who lives internationally from family, this Christmas card is for all those who pack up their lives to spend their time and their money investing in building memories with loved ones at Christmas, to send to their families. 

This card is great for families who have moved far away from family but are planning to spend Christmas with their family or maybe even to let people know they are coming home for Christmas in a fun way. You may have moved away for love, for work or for adventure but you are looking forward to visiting and making new memories together over the Christmas season. 

The Suitcase Christmas ornament features a pile of suitcase and lots of intricate details to demonstrate the heart behind a family visit. The traditional style suitcases each have a travel tag which say ‘BAGS’ ‘OF’ ‘LOVE’ as well as a heart, an aeroplane and labels which say ‘together’ and ‘HOME”. The top suitcase also features a start and end point with the path from one point to the other having a looping heart. 

The backing/greeting card features a home background with front door and a traditional Christmas tree with the suitcase pile decoration placed in the foreground.

Under the suitcases there are the words “Looking forward to making new memories together this Christmas’ in a lovely cursive font or "Merry Christmas".

The decoration is threaded through the card and attached by its jute string and, when the decoration is detached from the card, there is a printed version of the suitcases behind it leaving the card to look complete alongside other Christmas cards.

The ornament can be used year after year to remember the Christmas spent together living out of suitcases. 

The decoration is perfect for posting as it is light weight and flat making. The design is a digital college of my illustration and ink paintings. The design was then printed onto birch poplar plywood and threaded with jute string. This item counts as letter size for posting. 

This item can be personalised on the back with a location, occasion and year (or alternative short message).

Please note that Birch Plywood is a natural material which means that the colour, grain, and texture of each decoration will be slightly different from those photographed. The wood grain may also be visible adding character to the ornament. 

Every effort has been made to show the true colours of the decorations, however colours may vary due to computer monitor settings.

  • If you’d like the GREETINGS CARD sent directly to the recipient with a handwritten message, simply add your message for the inside of the card in the notes box at checkout, and I’ll take care of the rest.
  • If you’d like a DECORATION sent directly to the recipient this will be wrapped in tissue paper and have a gift tag added. Simply add your message for the tag in the notes box at checkout.
